About the Journal
Open Access Policy
The Journal Volunteer Outreach, Innovation, and Community Empowerment (VOICE) is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles in this journal without prior permission from the publisher or the author, in accordance with the Creative Commons license. If users utilize content from this journal for research or article writing, they are required to cite the author’s name in the work produced.
Peer Review Process
The editor will first verify the manuscript format and ensure its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. Authors will be required to fulfill submission requirements, such as completing a statement of originality and attaching an ethics clearance letter for original research or written consent for case reports. Manuscripts will be checked for similarity using Turnitin. If the similarity index exceeds 20%, the editor will request the author to revise the manuscript. The editor will then assign reviewers to evaluate the manuscript content. The review process is conducted under a double-blind policy, meaning the identities of both reviewers and authors are kept confidential from each other. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will decide to:
-
Accept the manuscript without revisions, or
-
Accept the manuscript with minor revisions, or
-
Return the manuscript for major revisions, or
-
Reject the submission.
