About the Journal

Open Access Policy

Journal of Psychology and Education Counseling (JPEC) is an open access journal which means all content is freely available at no cost to users or/institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author, following the creative commons license. If the user uses the content in this journal for research or article writing, the user is required to cite the name of the article author in the item created.

Peer Review Process

The editor will verify the manuscript format and whether it is fulfilled the journal focus and scope. The author will be asked to complete the submission requirement such as fill the letter of declaration and attach the ethical clearance for an original research or informed consent for a case report. The manuscript will be checked for its similarity by using Turnitin. If the similarity index is more than 20%, the editor will ask the author to revise the manuscript. Then, the editor will determine the reviewer who will evaluate the contents of the manuscript. The review process is done in a double-blind manner, which means reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. Based on the reviewer's recommendation, the editor will decide to:

1. Accept the manuscript without revisions, or
2. Accept the manuscript with minor revision, or
3. Resubmit the manuscript if it needs major revisions, or
4. Decline the submission.
